You only turn 40 once, so we celebrated big time last weekend for Chris. This is the sign that all of our little city saw on the way to church on Sunday.
Here is Chris at the beginning of life...no wonder our kids are so cute!
We had a party with friends and some family on Saturday. Here are the table decorations. 40's everywhere!
We had dinner and a lot of laughs..

I scanned and copied pictures of the last 40 years of Chris's great life and made a wall of fame for him in the hallway. Everyone got a kick out of it at the party.
On Sunday we celebrated again with his family. Blowing out 40 candles creates a lot of smoke!
Getting so much attention can be a little overwhelming when you are 40. Chris was a great sport and we love him very much!

Happy Birthday Chris. I can't believe you are 40. That seems so old but it isn't. My husband will be there in 1 1/2 years. Melissa it looks like you did a great job on his party and sign. You are very creative! Cute home by the way!
That was such a great birthday! It makes me feel like a lousy wife. I'll have to do a good party when Dave turns 50. Just 9 more years!
