Have a seat- December was a busy month!

December was a great month for our family. We apologize for neglecting our blog-we've been really busy. So here are a few of the highlights....

The month started off simple enough-time to bake some cookies!

(Gingerbread is a Findlay favorite)

The kids were a part of a stake creche display at the church

and got to dress up for the nativity...

Our Sweet Kaitlyn turned 13!!!
Her birthday gift was a bedroom make-over...

She was really happy with the outcome. She is definitely a teenager now!

She celebrated with family for dinner and-
had a fun party with her friends and went to "National Treasure 2"

Jack had a really fun preschool Christmas party where he got to make a gingerbread house with Grandma

And he entertained all of us with some cute holiday songs-

Jack is the guy in the red chair-FUNNY!

We had a FAMILIAR Santa Claus surprise us the week before Christmas. (Jack still thinks his Grandpa is the real Santa!)

Thanks mom and dad for the happy memory!

Christmas eve was spent at Grandma and Grandpa Findlay's house for a delicious prime roast and a sweet nativity with cousins...

This is Chris and his Grandma Fern who is turning 90 this February!

As tradition will have it-everyone opened up new PJs on Christmas Eve-

And you be the judge, but we think Christmas was pretty good at our house this year....

We had our friends the Hansens visit us from Reno, and then the Evans family came from Seattle for a 4 night sleep-over! This is where the boys slept-or were supposed to be sleeping! (that's Mason)

Jack and Lydia got to sleep in kaitlyn's room-

Jack (who has red lips from a lollipop) and Lydia played polly pockets all weekend-

We went bowling, to an arcade, played in the snow and had a great time just being together!

On Christmas day we woke up to a lot of snow and it has pretty much been snowing ever since-

This is Jack being pulled by the quad...

Using the 4 wheeler to sled is a favorite winter activity

(this is Cameron and Chris)

Cameron and Jack on a big snow pile-

Here is Kaitlyn coming down the mountain!

This is Portia, Audrey, Kaitlyn, Cameron and Jack getting ready for a fast ride-

We picked up another 21 inches of snow today, so Jack started working on a snow cave

And this is what it looked like at sunset.

We are so thankful for all of our family, friends and blessings.

Wishing everyone the best for 2008!

Cars and Trucks

A lifelong dream came to pass last weekend for Cameron (and Chris). It was PINEWOOD DERBY time! Because of our move last year, Cameron missed what would have been his first cub scout pinewood derby. This year his mom has some influence in primary and made sure he wouldn't miss another year.....

This is the competition-

Cameron's car is the yellow one, made to look like "Bumble bee" from the movie "Transformers."

That's all paint, no decals on this cool car!

All of the scouts received a trophy and although "Bumble bee" didn't pull off a first place win, we had a great time and think Cameron's car looked awesome.

Cameron and his dad had fun making the car and are already talking about next year's race.

Here are some pictures of another project that is finally complete after about 2 years...

Chris worked really hard and put a new engine (400 big block) into the truck that used to belong to his Grandpa Jack.

It is fast and LOUD and road worthy.

It even got a new exhaust system-
And I'm no expert, but I think that old truck has turned out pretty cool!

Country Bumpkins

Recently we went to Kaitlyn's Evening of Excellence for Young Women.
The theme was "Country Fair" so we all dressed up in our best country attire...

Kaitlyn's 10 hour Faith project was a book of stories, poems, and drawings that reflect her strong faith and testimony. It was on display at the "fair."

Jack fed the rooster...

and acted like a goof-ball.

Cameron was ready to catch a greased pig.
And I decided that overalls feel great after eating a big old slice of pumpkin pie!
Wish y'all could have been there!

Giving thanks...

Jack kicked off the week with a Thanksgiving feast at school with a bunch of indian friends.

Then we spent the holiday with the Findlay clan at grandma and grandpa's house.

The kids table....

On Saturday, all of the girls got dressed up for the Nutcracker Ballet. It was a great girls day out. The boys went looking at big boy toys-the kind that cost way too much money!

We're so thankful for all of our blessings.
What a wonderful life!

(Our back porch view)

We are thankful for YOU!!

Halloween Haunts....

Yoda, Road Kill (that's a license plate frame on her neck) and the 33 year old red wig rides again as Rodeo Clown....

Jack in Grandma Susan's cute hat...

Our porch on Halloween night...

A couple of parades-
This one is Jack as Anikin at our ward party...

And Cameron's class was running at his school parade (I was lucky to get this picture!)

A few weeks ago we went to "Thriller" at the Eccles Theater in Logan and met some new friends.

Here is Jenna (Melissa's cousin) with a freaky ghoul before the show.

Now that Halloween is over, a couple of radio stations in Utah are playing Christmas music 24 hours a day. Guess we've officially begun the holiday season.
SEASON"S GREETINGS!!!

Fall at Bear Lake

Here are a couple of pretty pictures of the Bear Lake lot in the fall. Thats the trailer, all ready for winter...

Can't wait until spring!!!
