A trip to the past..

We spent a day at the "This is the Place Monument and Heritage Park" in Salt Lake recently.

Hung out with Brigham Young....

played with lots of animals....

And Jack finally shaved. He was getting a little scruffy!

He's a brave boy- and very entertaining!

Tulip Festival

I planted 100 tulip bulbs in my yard last fall so I could have my own tulip festival and I'm happy to report they all came up. Here are a few of them- not quite Skagit Valley or Temple Square, but still pretty.

Homecoming...

We got to take a quick trip to Reno last weekend...
(this is our view from the Grand Sierra Resort, where we stayed)

It's weird to sleep in a hotel that we drove by nearly every day for 10 years! It was our kids first time back since we moved. Reno is a cool town- we miss it!

The reason for our visit was to be there for William Shawn Findlay's blessing in our old ward...
He is so sweet!

The weekend was extra fun, because the whole Findlay clan was there.

We spent some time at the brand new Cabella's store...

We shopped, went to our favorite buffet and In and Out Burger, went bowling, saw lots of our friends and had a great time being together.

We're so glad that Shawn and Lana live in our old ward, so we have an excuse to visit. It felt like we never left!

Thanks Shawn and Lana!

We miss living close to you!

39 years, Easter eggs and a bear....

Chris spent some time last weekend celebrating his last birthday in his thirties with two guys (Hudson and Brandon) who are just starting out....He got to blow out the candles!

The kids got dressed up in their Easter best on Sunday,

..and spent the rest of the weekend looking for eggs. We could open a candy store with all of their findings.

And Cameron earned his bear in cub scouts!

Happy Spring Everyone!!!

Bye Bye Birdie

Last week was a blast because we got to watch Kaitlyn as a screaming teenager in her Junior High musical "Bye Bye Birdie."

Lots of people came to see the play from near and far....

It was so nice that everyone made the effort to come. We've been singing songs from the musical all week!

My photographs of the play turned out a little dark, but still cute...I think!
Here are a couple...

Her stage name was Elsie May Clambert.

Here is a short video clip of "telephone hour."
Kaitlyn is in the middle.

I saw the play 4 nights in a row. It was especially fun for me, bringing back many fun memories of when I was a screaming teen girl in the same musical when I was 13! Life is so fun!

Celebrating 90 years!

Grandma Fern (left) recently turned 90 years old- it's a good reason to celebrate! So we had a birthday open house for her at her church.

Kaitlyn with her Grandma Susan and Great-Grandma Fern

Mark, David and Cameron

Yummy food table!

Jack had fun with Becca and Sam who came all the way from Reno for the party.

Shawn and Lana brought our newest family member-Will. He's only a few weeks old!

He is so cute and fun to hold...
Jack found a this stick on the stage at the church. I think he has a future in drama, or WWF wrestling or something....

We're looking forward to Grandma Fern's 100th celebration in 10 years!
